Consultation

Your consultation begins with a visit to your home or business to gather ideas for your design. We'll gladly review our design portfolio with you using photos, sample boards, and a video presentation. We encourage clients to imagine all the details they desire by reviewing our extensive portfolio. With your input we can correctly and confidently assess your design dreams to make them a reality.

Each project is priced according to its size, scope and required supplies. An accurate estimate depends on an analysis of the actual space. At this time, a decision will be made regarding the future of the project. If the client would like to move forward and both parties agree to the terms, a contract be will signed,an initial deposit received, then your project will be scheduled to start.

Fees and Payment

At Karen's Decorative Painting we pride ourselves on having no hidden fees. We will provide you with a contract detailing all fees, work and materials needed to complete your job at the highest quality.

Your initial consultation will include a visit* to the proposed project site to give you an accurate estimate. Each room will be bid separately and will vary depending upon the room size and height of ceilings (8', 10' or higher) and the type and detail of design requested.
We require the room or area to be painted to be clear and ready for paint upon Karen's arrival. To avoid additional fees, we request that all furniture, paintings, wall hangings be removed. At the time of consultation, we will specify which items will need to be moved.
Minimum charge is $350.00
In order to schedule your project, a 50% down payment is required, as well as a signed contract itemizing all work and charges mutually agreed upon by both parties. The remaining balance will be due at the time of project completion.
Client is required to be in attendance at the beginning of the project to approve of the final colors and design.
For their own safety, we insist that children and pets be kept away from the project room or area until completion.

Travel

As a well-known artist, Karen is available to travel to any destination to complete your masterpiece. The following is a list of charges that will be assessed for projects requiring travel outside a 40-mile radius from Karen's office in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

On-site consultation fee is $75.00
Reasonable accommodations, expenses and mileage if an overnight stay is required to complete your job.
Airfare, hotel and rental car expenses for projects more than 800 miles from the Twin Cities.

Professionalism and Quality

Karen's Decorative Painting treats every design as if it were in her own home. You can rest assured that you will receive the highest quality work completed by a well trained and experienced professional who is fully insured. References will be proudly furnished upon request.

All policies and prices in this document are subject to change without notice. Karen's Decorative Painting reserves the right to make modifications or exceptions to these policies as deemed appropriate.

* In order to best serve our clients and provide accurate pricing and design services, we are unable to provide bids by telephone.

Our artwork including faux painting, hand painted murals, and trompe l'oeil designs are intellectual property of Karen's Decorative Painting and may not be used, copied or duplicated in any way. Use of images in whole or in part for any reason whatsoever without written permission by Karen's Decorative Painting is prohibited by law.
